How God Speaks Pt 2

Affirmed to you that the Lord Speaks

As a believer, you are in relationship with Jesus

What is relationship without communication

Why this is important now?

            We are living in unprecedented times

                        Complicated by limitations on “gathering together”

We must learn to hear His voice

            Receiver – Spirit

Proximity – Intimacy

Hearing His voice is complicated by Noise

We must not only know ‘that’ He speaks, but we must know ‘how’ He speaks

·         By Word – logos & rhema

·         By the Preacher   Rom 10:14

·         By the Spirit – voice & unctions or urgings

·         Through Prophecy, Dreams & Visions

You must learn how to hear God

            So that we can become His voice

2 Cor 3:2 says that we are letters to be read

            We must also be a clear voice to be heard

The words you speak are spirit and life – John 6:63

Understand the nature of God’s Word:  It is creative – Ps 33:6, 9

            God’s Word brings something out of nothing! – Heb 11:3

                        “The Word became flesh…”

Numbers 13:25 – 14:9  

But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.”

9 Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection is removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them.”

            There is the element of the unfamiliar with change

The Creative Word tells you how to handle the change  

When God begins to do a new thing

            He has to give new food and new revelation

Joshua & Caleb saw what others couldn’t see

And they said what they couldn’t say

Because they were bound to the word

            They interpreted what they saw through that word

The Creative Word helps us overcome fear

            Do not fear them – not just an emotion

The Creative Word restores hope for the future

            What they interpreted as obstacles interrupted their future

The Creative Word tells you to keep moving forward

            Don’t quit

There are so many things that are uncertain about the times we live in

People are uncertain

The Word of God is sure

God is trusting you with that Word

Because His Word counters the fear and uncertainty

His Edify, Exhort and Comfort them

People will find direction and comfort and hope

Because you share God’s Word with them

It’s the Creative Word that Speaks to the walls

built around your promises and brings them down
