Identity Theft 4

Secure in Your IDentity

Quite often the call of God stirs feelings of insecurity in us:

Exodus

3:10 Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”

3:11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

3:13 Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?”

4:1 Then Moses answered, “But behold, they will not believe me or listen to my voice, for they will say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you.’ ”

4:10 But Moses said to the Lord, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.”

6:30 But Moses said to the Lord, "Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips. How will Pharaoh listen to me?"

Judg 6:15 [Gideon] said to him, "Please, Lord, how can I save Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house."

Jer 1:6 [Jeremiah] said, "Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth."

I am a Masterpiece

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Ps 139:13-18

13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.

14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (to be distinct, to be different)

Wonderful are your works; (marvelous; extraordinary) my soul knows it very well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you, (strength; might; power)

when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them,

the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!

18   If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.

I am a Peculiar Treasure

Ex 19:5-6

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; 6 and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation

Mal 3:17 "They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.

1 Peter 2:9 You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Titus 2:14 He gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

Eph 1:4-6

He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of His glorious grace, with which Hhe has blessed us in the Beloved.

2 Thess 2:13 We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth

Ps 89:30-34

If his children forsake my law

and do not walk according to my rules,

31 if they violate my statutes

and do not keep my commandments,

32 then I will punish their transgression with the rod

and their iniquity with stripes,

33 but I will not remove from him my steadfast love

or be false to my faithfulness.

34 I will not violate my covenant

or alter the word that went forth from my lips.

and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.
